I hope you are well. I wanted to alert you of an important action opportunity on September 27th, 1-5 pm, at the Statehouse.

GBIO has joined with Justice 4 Housing to fight for their bill, “An Act To Secure Housing for Returning Citizens,” which would create housing vouchers for returning citizens, administered by returning citizen-led organizations like Justice 4 Housing who can provide case management from a place of lived experience.

The bill is coming up before the Housing Committee on September 27th in ROOM B1 AT THE STATEHOUSE, and we have several speakers lined up – returning citizens, clergy, and the Boston Housing Authority in support!

COME OUT AND SHOW THESE POLITICIANS THAT THIS MATTERS TO US! They need to see that there is organized people power behind the cause of people coming home from prison, and that means coming out with 40 or more people.
